Back on the Road

Our Adventures in our new to us Roadtrek began with attending a square dance at the Babbling brook campground then heading east to North East Maine, Lubec, the most eastern town in the US and summer home of Franklin D. Roosevelt. While in Lubec we also visited the Quoddy Head light house, saw a beautiful sunset and yes, ate lobster. Our first trip brought us to Bar Harbor, Cadillac mountain and a car museum in Bas harbor.

Flying Home

Day 19 and we are boarding our plane bound for home, it's been a great experience and wonderful meeting Philippe's family, seeing where he was born and brought up and seeing Paris wasn't a bad thing either. Thanks for following us on our trip.

Another day in Paris

Spent another day on the Big B Bus line, again it's a hop on hop off with one ticket for the day so we went thru Pigalle, an area  frequented by prostitutes or so we're told so we didn't waste any time there, next, we visited Sacred Heart and drove by Notre Dame wile the bells where chiming, the glass building whose windows automatically opened and closed was very interesting. The boat is a Dhow used by skilled fishermen and this particular one was purchased and put on exhibit in 2004.

Paris, France, need I write more?

Yes, we are in Paris, the one n France, I mean, we woke up at 6:30 to make the flight but still ended up doing a bunch of site seeing, the first thing after settling in to our hotel we did was to take a bus tour, good idea, my feet needed the rest, we saw the Eiffel tower, a very large Ferris wheel, the Arch de Triumph and the Seine River. You won't believe this but this time we ate Mexican, yes Mexican in France. A little background on the Arch de Triumph, it was built after Napoleon's victory in 1805 and Napoleon promised that "you shall go home beneath a triumphal arches

More Chateaux visiting

Thursday morning  brought us to Nerec Chateaux that France's Henry IV, couldn't get in so we made do with a walk along the river and ate at the Roma, Italian pizzeria in France. After our walk we went back and visited with Marie Christine, Philippe's sister and his parents. Sadly we have to leave our gracious host and start packing for the first leg of our return home, the first leg being a flight from Toulouse to Paris
