November 20The Petrified Forest, not what I expected, the are was free of trees but was a thick forest 250million years ago, the trees fell and were buried then impregnated by whatever mineral was around and the result was a rock hard “tree” that was crystallized, really beautiful. The Petrified Forest doesn’t end there though; we saw some hieroglyphics that date back 1000years, what a weird feeling to walk on the same ground as “them”. On the way out of the “forest” we visited the Painted Desert, absolutely amazing, can’t say more, just amazing.
